About Us

Church Identity

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30

The Church of the Saviour is committed to being a certain kind of church. We take Jesus' words seriously, that his yoke is easy and his burden light. The Christian life can too often seem a heavy burden: ponderous lists of things you ought to do, ways to be like Christ, qualities that a "good" Christian ought to have. At COTS, we believe first of all that we all fall short of "good." We all struggle, we are all in pain, we all suffer. But in his death for us, Jesus gave us his perfection, his righteousness, and his peace. In exchange, he took our shortcomings, our failures, and our stress onto himself. In this way we find rest for our souls. Come celebrate with us as we rejoice in worshipping a savior whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.

Church Mission

The Church of the Saviour is a welcoming, nurturing, and energetic Christian community. We are dedicated to being a community of real people coming into contact with God's grace for people who need it (which is all of us!).  If you'd like to join us, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we invite you to explore this site, listen to a sermon HERE, read our blog HERE, or join our Facebook group HERE.  We're real people, who deal with real joys and real pain, and we find our common ground in our need for a Saviour.  Welcome!

"For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5: 6,8

Youth Ministry Mission

To provide a place for our youth to discover themselves not only as God's creation, but as God's redeemed.  To allow youth to be open about the struggles they face and the joys they experience, relating everything to Jesus' saving work.

Outreach Mission

The people of The Church of the Saviour are committed to Outreach, both in the proclamation of the Gospel and in mission. Our mission is not only achieved through monetary donations but also through the efforts of  members who donate their time and talent to help our outreach concerns.
